Eligibility Criteria for the 2025 Durham Region Refugee Hiring Event
This position is exclusively available through the 2025 Durham Region Refugee Hiring Event. To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet all of the following criteria:
Refugee or Forcibly Displaced Status:
Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship).Applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker).Were forcibly displaced from your country of origin (e.g., individuals from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and other affected regions).
Residency:
You currently live in Ontario. (Candidates living outside of Ontario/Canada will not be considered)
Event Attendance:
Be available to attend the in-person event in Ajax on April 2, 2025.
Work Eligibility:
Legally authorized to work in Canada (must possess a valid work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship).
Age Requirement:
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Home Instead is looking for part-time/full-time /live-in caring and compassionate Personal Support Workers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our communities. We service Oshawa, Whitby, Pickering, Ajax, Courtice, Bowmanville, Port Perry and surrounding areas
. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.
Must have a criminal background vulnerable sector police check(within the last 3 months)
