Eligibility Criteria for the 2025 Durham Region Refugee Hiring Event

This position is exclusively available through the 2025 Durham Region Refugee Hiring Event. To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet all of the following criteria:

Refugee or Forcibly Displaced Status:
Arrived in Canada as a refugee (government or private sponsorship).Applied for asylum after arriving in Canada (refugee claimant/asylum seeker).Were forcibly displaced from your country of origin (e.g., individuals from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and other affected regions).

Residency:
You currently live in Ontario. (Candidates living outside of Ontario/Canada will not be considered)

Event Attendance:
Be available to attend the in-person event in Ajax on April 2, 2025.

Work Eligibility:
Legally authorized to work in Canada (must possess a valid work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship).

Age Requirement:
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Take your culinary career to the next level! We are recruiting an exceptional Sous Chef –” to share their culinary expertise with our team at a prestigious private school in Toronto. This is a remarkable opportunity to showcase your culinary talents! NOTE: This is a Monday-Friday DAY shift with only a few after hours catering events throughout the school year. Aramark provides upscale luncheon and catering services for 447 students and approximately 100 staff members. The Sous Chef plays an integral role in the preparation, presentation, and execution of these food services.
